Because it's a waste, they're a stupid pairing and coheadliners is a shit idea

Yeah Queens and Paramore have very little cross over appeal, at least with Strokes and Pulp there was some middle ground to it. If Paramore was booked to headlined with Queens as subs (or vice versa) people would complain they don't mesh and I think the same should should apply to the co-headline bullshit.

But no one bloody meshes anymore. It's completely non important. Hardly a complaint, more of a thing you notice. It's not like people are gonna watch Queens then think "oh hey I wasn't expecting this band to sound like this, the switch over of this has thrown me right off"

also bollocks is there no middle ground. Kerrang kids will know both of them and they're both hyped out by NME this year and they both get almost identical radio play unless Paramore put out a serious pop single a la Still Into You.

People on this forum distance these two bands but it's laughable.

Of Monsters and Men are most likely to have an album out just before this years festival...However when booked they will be without a new album or new work for two years... how high could they play this year? will bookers gamble on there new album being a sucsess do people think?

Last time they played (with effectively the same body of work as currently) they played first of the day on the NME stage... they then went to V last year and played 5th on the second stage....

Now im biast towards them and i could see them playing as high as The Lumineers... which was 4th. However i accept the fact that was too high for them last year and will be to high for OMAM... so 6th main or sub on NME??? or am i being way to predisposed.

Those two publications aren't directed at certain demographics.

You're normally on the ball but mate what? You cannot be serious?

I haven't been to a Paramore show but I imagine the crowd would look different to that of a Queens show.

Not really sure where that's relevant. I'm pretty sure Pulp and The Strokes would have different looking crowds as well, to be honest with you.

To be honest an undercard matching a headliner is sort of important under some circumstances; I remember a lot of older people being put off by The Cure's undercard leading them to decide against buying day tickets

Plus the prospect of Paramore co-headlining with Queens makes me hesitant as I feel near certain that the undercard that day will predominantly consist of Kerrangcore

Of course I am, are you really saying no adults read it at all? Just because the magazines are popular within certain groups doesn't mean those groups are the only ones that read it. Both publications would be dead in the ground if that was the case.

I don't think Strokes/Pulp would have a massive change up in crowd - considering they collaborated and they both played as the last two on the same day before. I imagine most who know both bands are fans of both bands.

Fair enough, you like those two bands, but you must realise that not that many do otherwise you wouldn't bang on about it.

Having been to both they were vastly different. As stereotypical as it sounds Paramore was full of screaming teenage girls.

You denied that either magazine even regarded demographics. That's nonsense and you know it.

Without qualification we can't say what the crossover for either bands are - we definitely should not use eFestivals as a sample base.

eFestivals is a minority opinion and I don't think a lot of posters appreciate that outside of this forums, people care less, and do indeed like both bands - even if it's ever so slightly passively.
