You denied that either magazine even regarded demographics. That's nonsense and you know it.

Without qualification we can't say what the crossover for either bands are - we definitely should not use eFestivals as a sample base.

eFestivals is a minority opinion and I don't think a lot of posters appreciate that outside of this forums, people care less, and do indeed like both bands - even if it's ever so slightly passively.

Exactly, we're just making assumptions here - what the fuck else are we meant to do? As it's been said, there is a stark contrast between the fanbases at their live show.

EDIT: Also that thing about NME and Kerrang! was that they're not entirely 'consumed' by certain demographics, rather than 'directed' which of course they pretty much are.

If you don't take risks you ain't going to progress. Melvin might be taking a risk with this co-headline. But YOLO MELVIN G'WARNN SON

It's not risky in the slightest. Two bands that have subbed twice each now getting an extra 15 minutes each and one of them gets to play last.

It is a risk. At Leeds my mates went to see paramore and said half of the crowd were shouting 'get ya tits out for the lads'... and a lot of people don't know who qotsa are. Last time they played at Leeds, it was practically dead.

There's been strong speculation due to things Hayley and the band have said during interviews, that paramores time as a band is coming to and end, and Hayley is persuing a solo career. Which makes me think they possibly could be headlining on a "last UK show" thing...that and 'reunion hype' (hate the term) are always seen as justifiable examples to get bands playing slots higher than their worth. I don't know just something to consider

I'm not sure imo as the band Paramore aren't signed to the lable it's just Hayley so she can do what she wants anyway, it would of made more sense when some of the members left if this is happening.

To be honest, I'm surprised they're not better liked here as they're largely similar to a lot of the Kerrang! stuff that's liked here.

Misogyny? ;) or the fact that they have always been on the line between pop as slight punk. I don't hate them personally, in fact they have a few belters.
