Jane's Addiction and Death Cab have members tied up in side projects. AFI and Placebo too high. I think Jimmy Eat World, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Gogol Bordello would have made more sense for this year and would be unlikely next year and finally, Prodigy won't headline.

That Saturday is a good punt though.

I think the fact it would make less sense next year would make it more likely, I mean, where's the sense in this year?

The sense in this year would be that they're American bands so they generally not doing UK festivals every year, they all have new albums out this year, and they're all playing slots that wouldn't conflict with R+L bookings (mid slots at T and Latitude, Download second stage subs x2). If they weren't wanted this year, where's the sense in next year?

Annnnnnd I've just realised what you meant. Oh well :P

Haha yeah I meant in this years lineup not in them playing this year :P

The lineups are definitely getting harder to guess, so if it makes no sense, they might be there in 2014 ;)

Think you're headliners are spot on - but variations I could see are QOTSA headlining IF the new album gets a great response, and I still don't know why people seem to have ruled out Mumfords.....Reading has a history of getting an exclusive headliner the year after they have headlined everywhere else.

I think Rise Against could be 4th and JEW 3rd.....just by the slightly higher spots then expected this year.

Janes Addiction wont be back in my opinion

I still don't think VW will sub....dunno why, maybe if they have a grande new album out. Also, I really do see the Vaccines playing next year and they can only really sub now, so I'd have

Arctics

Vaccines

Vampire Weekend

and chuck out the National (maybe NME headline instead of Janes)
