Has anyone read the interview about Joey Jordison leaving Slipknot? Sounds a bit odd to be honest.

Corey Taylor of Slipknot spoke to Minneapolis radio station 93x about Jordison leaving the band, commenting: "I can confirm that we have parted ways with Joey and as soon as we can say something, we will, but we're trying to protect him, trying to protect us, just making sure that we do everything right because that's what we would expect from ourselves and what we would expect from the fans."

Everyone should give that album a listen. It's fucking phenomenal.

His cover of Hallelujah still gives me chills. Really love the lyrics on that album as well.

There's not a bad song on there. Although lover you should've come over is a personal favorite, some of my favorite ever lyrics in that song.

Apparently he didn't even know he wasn't a part of Slipknot any more, All very strange...

I would assume he's fairly smart as he comes from a well off background, went to Eton and then studies at LSE. Obviously money is what gets you into Eton but you have to have some brains (as well as money) to get into LSE.

Frank 'fuck the establishment' turner shared a class with Prince William. I'm prepared for the fanboy backlash

Yeah it's quite well known about his background - I don't know why you'd get fanboy backlash over facts. I don't really care; his music is crap so I don't spend too much time caring about his politics. But to be fair, he answered questions about Iron Maiden, which I don't suppose is on the curriculum.

Not sure what gigs I'm doing this year but fests wise rock am ring, download then bloodstock, alt fest and reading

So far I've got tickets for Half Man Half Biscuit, The Notwist, Of Montreal, Metronomy, NMH and NIN. Might do Arcade Fire but I suspect not. No idea what festivals yet, it'll be very lineup dependent, although 2000 Trees, Truck, Latitude, EOTR and Bestival are all high on my list of which I'm considering. Probably end up doing 3 of them and one or two others.
