Just a general mistake I guess, I got bounced from the queue on ticketmaster and then went on NME.com and clicked the side banner on the left, then queued for a while and forgot i hadn't clicked reading OR leeds, and it took me straight to reading, whacked my card details in and then bish bash bosh i'm 200 quid down ha.

Maybe that's just my own presumptions then, I certainly wouldn't buy off anybody if they hadn't had a decent history of selling tickets in the past. No can do Chickenz, SeeTickets policy is refunds only if the event is cancelled or moved to a different date :/

  • 1 month later...

My friend offered to get me tickets in 2008 (She'd got hers) and so I gave her my card details etc. and trust her to do it.

She accidentally booked Reading weekend tickets for me/my mates rather than Leeds (the festival she was attending).

Top and bottom of it was that a quick phonecall to Seetickets and they were happy to cancel, granted the demand was higher that year so they probably knew they'd be able to sell them, but effectively if you advise the situation they'll probably just swap you Reading for Leeds (don't think they're sold out?) at the end of the day its no loss of revenue for them/FR.

Hope you sort it, but try calling them before messing with Ebay (potentially losing money on what you paid) or swapping on here and potentially getting in a situation where you might get stung with fake tickets etc (God forbid)

I'm assuming this is all sorted now (and if not, a quick call to See Tickets will probably fix it), but isn't their cancellation insurance cheeky?

If you're buying tickets to a popular gig and you're in a hurry, it's really easy to miss. (I'm not moaning too much though - I bought it by accident, but they refunded it straight away when I asked.)

I've talked to the boss of See Tickets about this.

If it's bought in error they promise to always refund.

They made the decision to always include it in the purchase by default (unless the buyer unticks the box) because it's something which can't be sold to a buyer after they've made their purchase, because it would be abused by people to get a refund on unwanted tickets.

While I understand that buyers might feel they're being tricked into buying something they don't want, the logic behind how they've chosen to do it can't be knocked.
