On a number of occasions recently Dave Grohl has made reference to the fact that Foos have made more albums, played bigger venues and taken up more of his life than Nirvana, he's always tried to move on without disrespecting the past and there's no way he can be accused of milking it in any way. It would be very easy to accuse him of either disrespecting the past or playing on it too much and he's walked the fine line between very carefully for the last 18 years.

One occasion of playing a NIrvana song (that he wrote) at a secret club gig with Krist and Pat is hardly the same as covering Nirvana songs during every gig, and that's why they don't and will not do the latter.

I think Dave Grohl has made a lot more money from Foo Fighters than he will ever get from the tiny proportion of rights he has from Nirvana's catalogue. An the ever loving Courtney has sold the rights of half of "Kurts" music so the only people lining their pockets are the record companies. I think the people who have the most right to play that music are the remaining members of Nirvana. Why Dave would want to when its his band that are headlining in their own right, I don't know.

I think the closest thing to a Nirvana cover that could happen is maybe Foos playing the intro of Smells Like Teen Spirit but then as it kicks in proper they play Monkey Wrench and I don't even consider that likely.

I'm still pissed off that Public Enemy aren't there. Te first ever Rap headliners at the festival. Same year as Nirvana. Could have been cool to see a 20 years of hip-hop at Reading moment with Public Enemy somewhere on main.

Let's just get a Kurt hologram and everyone will be happy! People will stop complaining that Foos/Dave are pissing of his memory and all the people who keep expecting Nirvana songs for some reason will have it, win win.

Im a great fan of courtney, more than I ever will be of grohl/nirvana/foos, Courtney just has alot of mental problems which go back to her childhood that much is obvious.

You should get her autobiography of courtney love.

What's the appeal of her tho? Apart from the 1 line "When I wake up in my make up" I can't see anything myself.
