Just wondering who people think are potential/future headliners im not including bands like Bloc Party or Biffy as they are nearly there or thereabout, im thinking more lower bands on the bill, like when Arctic Monkeys were on the carling stage back in 2005 who would of predicted them for headliners then, im predicting people like.

White Lies

Frank Turner

Enter Shikari

Cage The Elephant

These arent necessarily who i would want just the only ones i can think of right now. :P

The National could if their next album gave them as much of a boost in popularity as High Violet did, but they'd still be a bit weak... Would be a dream headliner for me though.

The Antlers would be fantastic, but even with the hype their sound is far too alternative for R&L, more likely to headline Latitude or Bestival some day...

Also +1 to Gaslight and Frank Turner.

Would put money o n Florence and Mumford headlining one day

Also chance of Biffy i think and possibly Dizzee Rascal, if he doesn't headline reading he will headline on of the big festivals in the next few years

And Bloc party may even be next years headliners

I'm gonna call pulled apart by horses. I just think they have something about them to get them to the top. If not r&l then download or soni. Their latest album is quality and if they produce another 1 or 2 like it they will definately be moving up that bill to near the top. Their live shows are energetic and excellent also.

I think that there was a similar thread last year or the year before. In that I suggested.

Biffy Clyro

Dizzie Rascal

Other possibilities

The cribs (one day)

QOTSA

Florence and the machine

Yeah yeah yeahs

Pendulum

Slipknot (r&l)
