Potential/Future Headliners

Paramore (ew. Considering how their performance this year and their album goes down; could happen.)

The Black Keys (probably after their next album)

The Gaslight Anthem (sold out their intimate show at KOKO in 6 minutes and have signed to a major label for their next album, will probably play 3rd next time they play and could maybe headline in about 5 years or so)

Two Door Cinema Club (considering the level of tickets they can manage to sell in such little time it's probably only their saturation of festival appearances which allows them to play so low even now; give it another album or two and if their growth continues they'll be ready to headline)

Pendulum (one more album and they're ready)

Skrillex (if he continues to soar in popularity like he has over the past 6 months he could headline in a few years)

deadmau5 (just needs to get that bit bigger and then he could maybe pull it off)

Manchester Orchestra (Slowly getting bigger and bigger, in a minimum of 5 years)

Brand New (Probably too much of just a cult following, maybe after another couple of albums who knows)

Bring Me the Horizon (If the current trend of line ups continue I could see these playing 3rd next year, could happen, possibly in the next 5 years)

Chase & Status (Another couple albums, maybe 3 or so years, and it could happen)

Vampire Weekend (Probably after another 2 albums; possibly sub after their next one)

Foster the People may be able to if their success keeps increasing but I predict them being much more a flash-in-the-pan band than a mainstay; despite in my opinion having the talent to pull off a long-lasting career.

I can also see Pulled Apart by Horses and The Joy Formidable climbing up the bill but never being big enough to headline; but then again people probably couldn't have predicted Biffy Clyro ever being in a position to headline back in '01.

I don't think they should be ruled out solely because they are female fronted band, they are just as likely as other suggestions like Enter Shikari or Maccabees imo but I don't see them headlining either.

That's scandalous imo. Albeit a huge fan, this opinion is in no way bias.

Can anyone seriously say they 'dislike' his music? People can be of no real opinion etc but no one really thinks wow 'i just dont like frank turner' He's one of those artists who's music is pleasant for everyone to enjoy.

His latest album has been a huge success, and by the fact he sold out his November tour playing venues where the likes of Enter Shikari still (only just mind) haven't sold out in a matter of minutes and other places such as Bournemouth academy, Hammersmith apollo, etc.. and He's just about sold Wembley Arena out.

He's gaining popularity like mad, i'd say if his rise is continuous and it is expected by me, he'll headline leeds and reading at least in the next 10 years.

White Lies i'd predict to aswell, and with Enter Shikari i'm not sure, if they have a few years break then i think they can, i think headlining the NME is on their radar first.

apart from two door, the black keys and the vaccines, where i think its only matter of time, i think courteeners may unfortunately have a chance. Liam Fray seems like a prick but hes a good front man and he may end up dragging them up there, would be horrendous though.

What? Their last album was waaaaay bigger than any of their earlier stuff, and was the most blogged about album ever.

They have SO many fans and if their next album is bigger than the last one they'll easily headline some festivals, you're probably right in the fact it wont be R/L, but I definitely think Bestival/Primavera/Coachella type of festivals they could headline in the future. (which would maybe translate to headlining NME @ R/L)

I definitely think White Lies will, and probably The Vaccines. And I love them both. :D

I sincerely hope Tribes do too! Saw them for the first time supporting Funeral Party last year, having never heard of them. And knew there and then they'd be big. Seen them 4 times now, quality live band. :)

Also, Jack White. :P
