The Best Line Up in Europe? (R/L alternative)

Like i was planning to go to rock wertcher instead of reading anyway (got myself a cheeky day ticket for foos however)

and i know a lot of people are down about the line up announcement, me included, (overs think its great, but lets have that debate on another page)

What do people thinks the best?

Way Out West looks quite decent aswell.

Although there are some big and decent bands on the line up, I would imagine there would a lot of waiting around for those bands to come on... Least at R+L there's always someone I can watch considering the amount of acts/stages.

I do like the look of Coachella, bit hit and miss but quite a few big names...

Depends what your after block busting bands - werchter or proper band cough cough- primavera.

Uk lineups are always spread to thin.

First thing he said Europe, and second thing, are you crazy? Coachella has the best line-up in the world and along with Glasto usually does. Its only about 50 times better than R&L.

Rock Werchter is easily the best line up in Europe. Quite amazing that you can bands such as Blink, the Cure and Elbow on one day on the main and Noel G, Florence and RHCP on another. Some pretty sizeable bands on the 3rd stage as well which says it all tbh. Not only sizeable bands but plenty of good ones too. Still strange to see Editors headlining though.

I'm off to Optimus Alive in Portugal which is a pretty decent line up too. I'd say that was the best value festival in the world. Radiohead, The Cure and The Stone Roses for £100 is extremely good value.

For me honestly throughout the whole of Europe and ive looked at them all its Download.

It really is a perfect line up for me this year, other European festivals that are on the heavy side at that time may have Metallica too but they have Linkin Park who I saw at DL last year and would rather The Prodigy and Black Sabbath over them any day.

RW is alright, but its a bit bland in the main stage acts, RHCP, Snow Patrol, Florence, Noel, Kasabian. yawn to the lot.

At least it has Pearl Jam and Editors as headliners and Blink in the day too interesting. But Download has so many of my favourite acts and acts I haven't seen that I want to see. It wins hands down.

^Yeah I have to agree that Download is looking like the strongest fest in Europe this year. Quite shocking as most years they just seem to chuck any crap on.

Me and my m8 are getting Coachella 1st weeknend tickets in june hopefully. Gotta be done, this years lineup isn't quite as good as last years, still quality but that means next years may well be top banana and it won't have bloody radiohead there. nor black keys who i like but seeing this year. Dre and Snoop would've been good but not going to lie, it was for nastolgia only.

Rock am Ring! I love the line up this year, plus it's an amazing festival, probably the best I've been to.

Fuckin baffles me how these others can get such deep line up's, yet Reading with its history and surely a good name in the industry can't or haven't got anywhere as good a line up.
