I went a few years back (2008?? Whenever it was Radiohead/Prodigy were playing) and thought it was great. Good line-up, nice vibe, friendly people.

I found it a lot like going to a UK festival - bands start in the daytime and go on till the early hours of the morning, rather than starting at like 8pm and going on till 4am. (But then there is the Night Park for that kind of thing, which goes on all night pretty much).

There's a kind of chill out field where they have a tent just full of hammocks you can go and jump in if you want to take it easy for a bit. And there was loads of little food stalls and places selling t-shirts and stuff, which you don't always get abroad either. Weather when we went was a bit hit and miss, so it's not going to be guaranteed sunshine all the way.

The Day Park/Night Park thing was a bit wierd, but it actually works pretty well as they weren't too far apart (and I think they are now even closer together). Bit of a pain if you want to mix it up a bit and go see a particular DJ in between bands, but I suppose not really any worse than trying to get from the Main Stage to the Dance Arena at somewhere like Exit.

i have been to frequency for the past 3 years. the site is pretty cool, there even is a river in it where you can cool down in a bit, and most of what the_derminator said is true. (by the way: you were there in 09. plus, that day- and nightpark- thingy isn't really a problem, nightpark-bands start about the same time as daypark- headliners)

but you can't compare the atmosphere to uk-fests like he did. its much worse, plus, many people are only there to drink and don't know any of the bands (yah, i am sure it is like that in the uk too, but not as much as here, believe me). thats pretty much the worst thing about it: the people ;). there really are many idiots, sorry to say that. and saying that, i will probably go again this year. the lineup started weak but has become pretty good!

if you have any questions, i can probably answer them!

I'm Still undecided on which festival to this summer, this one has really good line up, so I'm considering it

A few questions,

Is it a big festival, i.e an over 50,000 people ?

Is there a looong walk form the campsite to the arena ?

Also is the atmoshpere similiar to german festivals? I went to Hurricane a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it there
