I could understand that in the setting that it's been done (low-key secret gig, the one song that Dave wrote), but the damage it would do if they rolled it out across massive shows and playing other songs would outweigh any interest in it. I just think the remaining members have done a great job of being respectful towards the situation and downplaying it for the last 18 years, I don't know why they'd want to risk all that away now.

At a few festivals last year Dave made the point of saying that they weren't going to go off but just go straight in the 'encore' as they didn't want to waste time and wanted to play as many songs as possible. So technically there wasn't one but he always pointed out where it would have been if there was.
