Kipper64 talks a lot of sense but I can't help but think that Soni are losing customers to other fests in 2013 (if they are to return).

They obviously need to be committed to the event before announcing anything as another cancellation would be curtains.

I still think it would be a massive success even if they take another 3 months to announce, providing the lineup is top notch.

People are inpatient but I'm sure we'll have an answer soon enough. I think it will go ahead although there is very little evidence to back up my optimism!

i don't think the 'brand' side of things is as meaningful (for anything) as much as people like to pretend.

I'd only consider going if Pearl jam played and I could book late flights. I'd hate to book the flight and it get cancelled/find that day tickets are £90 for 5 bands again.

The won't succeed in booking a single band that has the potential to draw in 50,000 punters. They'll be lucky if they're able to book a band that can pull in 10,000 punters.

I wish them all the luck in the world but I won't suspend my grip on reality while I do that.
