5co77ie
If my source is correct, then yes, expecting a late November announcement. He seems to think STP, Alice in Chains, Architects will be announced as well.
rawaudioinput
If those are the names from the undercard that they're leading with on the first announcement I fancy my chances of being able to play mid-main.

dentalplan
They could just about get away with announcing them all on one day with Architects pretty low down. I imagine STP could still sub, they did only a few years ago in 2010. If they did than one stage then the other again then AIC could probably do 3rd main too. mrtourette
I'd have thought that AIC would play higher, at least they're releasing semi-decent new material rather than just turning into a bit of a joke.
thewayiam
STP are a write-off for me now but I don't think their stock has fallen since replacing Weiland so yeah, I'd imagine they'd still sub. I don't think that's a bad first announcement if it's actually going to happen, I imagine those are just 5 of the choice bands from it though. The idea of PJ and AiC is pretty appealing... Sonisphere presents The Big 4 of Grunge: playing together for the first time - featuring Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and Nirvana & Adam Lambert. dentalplan
Well if Rage are the band from Luckysalt's info that are the difference between Soni 2014 going ahead or not - which makes sense to me as they're supposed to be holding a lot of festivals like this - then they'll have to decide soon. Hurricane, who were also apparently '50/50' with them, have started announcing already so if it is Rage then it looks like it's the eleventh hour on Soni from my Metallica doubting viewpoint.
