metalicbear
The fanboism and claims of hearing from the organisers that they're preparing a logo therefore it must be going ahead are similarly ridiculous to Black Crow's arguments though. Ahh, Soni fanbois. Edited November 12, 2013 by metalicbear
Justiceforcedave
Great bit of announcement tactics (although based on previous Sonispheres I wonder if it was intentional). Wait until everyone has decided that the Download headliners are poop and then announce a festival.

ToffeePopcorn
I just saw this on twitter, not the most legit of places Sonisphereleak @Sonisphereleak1h Metallica to bring their 'Orion' festival to the UK this July as part of Knebworth Parks 40th anniversary celebration. #sonisphere

Yellow_Fellow
It's also probably Sonisphere. The officially affiliated links are; https://kililive.wufoo.com/forms/sign-up-for-sonisphere/ http://www.facebook.com/sonispherefestival https://twitter.com/sonisphere http://sonisphereforums.com/ So I mean. Yeah.
kipper64
It's definitely Sonisphere. I think they're just gonna hype that fuck out of the 40 years of Knebworth to try and make it seem as unmissable as possible, especially with their main competitor having a bit of a poor start, it could work I guess. Shall see when bands get flung at us though, I want be so crude to suggest it can't possible get canned at this stage...because last time I done that I think I jinxed it

Rancidpunk_76
NIN just announced that their European tour will commence exactly 1 month prior to this Knebworth shindig, so if they're trapesing through Europe at this time then chances are they'll be on the bill perhaps? Dunno about headlining though, more likely subbing.

Yellow_Fellow
Weren't they Lucky Salt's suggestions? In Knebworths big 40 year and Sonisphere's big comeback, why would they book a previous years' sub-headliner and 2nd stage headliner, both of which have barely gotten any bigger. mrtourette
It seems odd that the home page created for this year was still rock/metal themed and yet the one for next year is anything but. And although it's the Soni web address and links to the Soni forums it doesn't promote the brand at all, very odd. If it does return I'd be surprised if it's in the same form that it left. Most annoyingly of all though they've split 'Hertfordshire' onto two lines as if it's two different words.
