Camping/hotel

Hi, I am heading up to Rockness as part of a stag party. I have booked a hotel as I am a light sleeper. The majority of the group will be camping at the festival camp site. I was wondering if I could buy a camping ticket and have the best of both worlds Ie socialising in the camp site and sleeping in the hotel? Are there any restrictions on entering and leaving the festival area on a camping ticket?

Thanks in advance.

Kenny.

Yeah unfortunately they need to control the amount of people leaving the site to keep disruption down in the Village of Dores plus road safety issues.

Day ticket holders can obviously leave after the arena closes, not sure if you could chance it getting back in on the Sunday tbh

Hey!

I am pretty sure that you won't be able to do this. You should just camp, there are 'quieter' campsites but to be fair I am a light sleeper and we camp right in the middle of it all and I still manage to sleep, you get used to the background noise. I swear by ear plugs and an eyeband thing to sleep and your sorted.

If you do decide on the hotel you can still banter with your mates in the arena, but not in the campsite.

Just camp :P

i usually just plug in my mp3. a few hours with your eyes shut listening to music. you'll doze in and out but you'll be "disconected" from the party enough to relax and get yer energy up. then throw a burger and some stiff drinks down you and you'll be good to go.

Now man up and buy that tent.

Ok here is the thing. If you like your comforts and can't be arsed slumming it in a tent then thats fine. I think as long as people carry whatever they want they can take their room from home with them as well. Make your festival as comfortable as possible.

At home I wake up frequently throughout the night, you may call it light sleeper if you like but I don't sleep well.

At festivals I am so exhausted from the amount of walking I do that I just drop off. I kinda think you get as much sleep as you really need at a festival. Even being part of the efest camps that stay up through the night at various festivals, the noise levels really drop off after a while.

Of course I am the king of the afternoon nap. preferrably in the sunshine on a hill.

Hey guys, first post in yonks!

I was debating whether or not to camp this year, purely for a bit of peace. But in the end I've decided to just get over it and camp. There is too much banter not to. The past 4 years I've managed fine.

Red campsite is marginally quieter... But if you camp down the other end of red, nearest the car park, you'll be fine. Believe me, you will not want to miss out on the fun!
