Vieuphoria
No it's not Sublime. Hence why they aren't called Sublime. They are Sublime.. with Rome. They released their own album, with no covers on. What's the issue. It's no different at this stage than a band like Audioslave playing a Soundgarden song. Vieuphoria
Hence the use of the phrase "at this stage". Reading is fun

Vieuphoria
One would assume it's because the 2/3rds of Sublime who are still around wanted to play the songs they helped make under the name they played under. I don't see the issue with it. Very easy to avoid if one doesn't want to see it. It's hardly karaoke. Long Beach Dub All-Stars are a band i'd like to have seen. The difference there is it wasn't just Sublime members, it was an 'All-star' supergroup of loads of bands. That's how I see it anyway. When it's majority Sublime (like Sublime with Rome), they have the right to do what they wish. Plus their album was good.
Vieuphoria
oh and why can't an idiom be a phrase?
AcademicPistol
If you learn German idioms, you will master some of the most suggestive phrases of the German language... But I have no clue why an idiom can't be a phrase.
mr_monkey
apologies i have none.... the best band in the country at the moment, sound a bit like the clash mixed with gaslight anthem
AcademicPistol
Nope Radiohead are better.
LEMON_WOLF
At this stage is an idiom not a phrase. So why do people have more intrest in Sublime with Rome over Dub Allstars then? If it's like you say they are a band in their own right and thats why people are intrested in then the Dub Allstars who started as a new band with new material aswell as play Sublime covers live should of been as big as Sublime with Rome. 2rare2die
I'd like to see Sublime With Rome! Also not sure why you were slagging off King Blues earlier on in the thread

rivalschools.price
new social distortion album is great, theyve got a greatest hits out there too.(i wore a social distortion t-shirt to reading last year so i guessed well for this year,ha ha) new anti flag is quite catchy, bouncing souls are pretty good.a wilhelm scream were pretty good supporting pennywise(i think) a few years ago. less than jake are always good but attendance might be affected by them clashing with foo's(i think they clashed with rage against the machine last time so not much luck there)

2rare2die
I think it'll be fairly well attended, the tent was rammed at Leeds when they played last time, and there's a lot of people who aren't interested in Foo's.
Dan R
They swapped with Pennywise at Leeds though so they didn't have to go up against RATM again, and the tent was near enough deserted for Pennywise (nipped in to have a look on the way to the loo lol), so not sure what sort of crowd Less Than Jake will get this year
AcademicPistol
Speaking of Ska music, i know one of the organisers for the London International Ska Festival, shame it's not a widely popular festival otherwise i could have some exclusives
ska_4_life
It's mostly because there are people who actually say Less Than Jake are the best ska punk band ever (who aren't ska punk fans) it's the same as people saying Foos are the best rock band in the world, it just gets on my tits. rivalschools.price
i'm not interested in having a 'best ska band' competition but LTJ are a great band in general and put on a fantastic show in bristol last year. LTJ ROCK!!!!!
