There'll be ten, as there was on the Jane's Addiction day last year. ATDI will get longer than The Maccabees and the opening band is still to be confirmed (it will be the winner of the Futuresound talent competition).

I've noticed over the last few years they have managed to cut the amount of acts on the main and the NME one way or another. Be it longer sets through the day ala madness, co headline slots such as pulp and the strokes, the streets and 2 many djs, or just longer sets such as Hanes addiction faith no more.

I guess it's better that the bands get longer sets as some sets are just too short. It's also another way for fr to make money by booking less acts ( or a way to pay for all those free burgers and drinks)

Haha the Cribs would be good there, Bullet would be too big to sub the tent if you ask me though.

It cant just be me that thinks that if The Hives new album does well then they could easily be in the same spot as Foster The People or The Courteeners, or am i just massively underrating how big Foster The People are? Hopefully they get an extended set, The Hives that is.

Thats an excellent announcement, doesn't quite make up for all the repeat undercard bookings from the original announcement but if i can snap a cheapo ticket again i'll go along.

Pure Love revealed their first (I think) studio song today, and to me it sounds brilliant. Like a non-joke version of The Darkness. I wasn't expecting to like them, but I now have a clash with Blood Red Shoes
