Yellow_Fellow
DZ Deathrays. Awesome, awesome, awesome. Chuffed, now I have a friday headliner in Sleigh Bells too.
Frankly Mr Shankly
Over the moon about S.C.U.M & DZ Deathrays, pretty happy with Dog is Dead, Theme Park, Jake Bugg, Veronica Falls & a few of the others too. Slightly miffed that I'll have to miss Sleigh Bells in favour of the Cure, but such is life.
the wonderwhy
Sleigh Bells clashing with The Cure is more gutting than Foos clashing with Justice. Aargh. Other than that, great announcement, got so many bands I want to see now...
Chavmeisterdeluxe
Saturday night looks very decent, unfortunately I have to leave early that night so will probably have to miss Young Guns which is gutting. The Saturday and Friday should clearly of been swapped around.
Vieuphoria
I stil don't have Sunday headliner. I guess i'll be settling on Foo Fighters. After Me First finish anyway. Kind of a shame, but oh well. NEEDS MORE BATTLES!
Avens
Rargh, Kasabian clashing with Feeder. Shame on you, Festival Republic. It'll have to be Kasabian, but I'm annoyed. Was hoping for Feeder on Friday as I've no interest in Paramore...
mrtourette
Fidlar seem pretty good. http://youtu.be/4Jip6Fc-QO4
Duw13
Bollocks, both Feeder and The View clashing with acts I really want to see... Foo fighters is the obvious choice, but not sure about Feeder vs. Kasabian. I saw Kasabian in november, but I prefer them to feeder. There's also a good chance I'll be able to see Feeder in the future, since I'm from Cardiff. What should I do?
mrtourette
Move to England. On a lighter note it looks like Fidlar will partially clash with both Cancer Bats and Star Fucking Hipsters. The three bands I want to see on the Friday apart from The Cure all clash. Eop
As many have probably said (don't have time to read thread) Not bad but feeder and kasabian clashing annoying.
Duw13
Just realised Kasabian and Feeder might not be clashing. Bassnectar's is listed as 4th down, but in brackets it says "closing DJ set", which implies he'll be last on, so Feeder'll clash with Florence, not Kasabian (which is perfect)
the wonderwhy
Feeder will still overlap with Kasabian. I assume Bassnectar will start in the 2nd half of the Kasabian set and continue to the curfew?
6daviesdr
not necessarily. and if so not by much. the DJ set could easily be 45mins to an hour long and with a 20mins to half hour change over feeder should only go into Kasabian's set by like 15mins or so but hopefully not at all. Duw13
I'm happy to miss the first few Kasabian songs for Feeder to be honest- and if the Florence extra length set comes to fruition might not miss any!
6daviesdr
my thoughts exactly mate. started raging this morning wen i saw they wernt on the friday. but this dj set business has apparently saved it. still going to have to bare through most of the cure after subways though sadly. Duw13
Quite undecided on the finish to my Friday. I'd prefer two of the same to finish, not interested in Paramore/Cure, so it's between AntiFlag/SocialDistortion, FTP/Maccabees and Subways/SleighBells. Leaning towards FTP/Maccabees as it stands. Mouseboy11
Who in their right mind would watch the View over Foo's/Justice
kaosmark2
You like The View and The Futureheads
ArcticDan
haha apparantly their are some people who still think its 2007... looking over this lineup again im sure it must of cost them about a tenner to book it
allan14
YES, had my fingers crossed for Don Brocco, amazing band!! Also will be watching subways, feeder (if they dont clash with kasabian), LTA and young guns hopefully
Gucci Piggy
Alberta Cross sound good. Them and S.C.U.M. will fill my time on Friday at Leeds nicely.
Chinaski_
What an average announcement. Absolutley gutted they've clashed Sleigh Bells with The Cure, why the fuck would they do that, sure goign opposite Kasabian would of made more sense. (and even more so that i reckon alot of Kasabian fans would wanna watch Feeder) Too many shit old indie bands though. Who gives a shit about The View, The Futureheads, The Subways anymore, FR is usually so good for showcasing good music. The only bands i'll probably seeing are BFL, Veronica Falls, Alt-J, JEFF and Theme Park. Uber MEH. Edited June 12, 2012 by Chinaski_
