Daniel Cuthbertson
Hey, I am listening to Jack White's new album on iTunes and I was wondering what are the possibility of him playing the FR Stage? I think if he does he would be headlining.

chriseede
He's easily selling out academy gigs, so that already probably makes him too big for FR and all of the festivals that he's playing, he's either subbing or at lowest playing 3rd down on the main stage, so as those above have said, absolutely no chance. All of this talk just makes me wish we'd got him instead of The Vaccines

Vieuphoria
Too Big? Bollocks. He'd probably play about 6th down. or maybe 8th down NME.

Gucci Piggy
Not sure he's quite ready for the major festivals, really needs to prove himself on a lower level first.
zeppelin
He'd be mid-to-high main or maybe headlining nme if he were to play.
thesecretingredientiscrime
And the rest. He's only headlining, which is more than likely why he's not playing.

chriseede
At first, I thought he was headlining the fests that he's been booked for, but it seems he's subbing Black Keys at Lollapalooza and he's definitely not headlining Rock Werchter: http://www.rockwerchter.be/en/lineup/ FR could have booked him 3rd down on Main, would have been a much better booking than Vaccines, Bombay and Kaisers. chriseede
Have you thought that possibly he didn't want to play? It's very easy to slag off the organisers about a band not playing, but that ignores the pretty obvious point that maybe a band does not want to play. she bangs the drums
I could easily see him headlining the FR stage, Pete Doherty did it last year and the Libertines were in effect co-headliners the year before are probably as big in the UK as the White Stripes. If Jack White was put on the FR at the same time as the Foo Fighters I don't think the FR tent would be to overcrowded.

jump
Ignoring the Libertines are as big as White Stripes comment Jack White unlike Doherty hasn't really played the UK on his own before and even with his sold out Hammersmith & Brixton shows there would be a demand to see him as for most this would be their 1st chance. gazza_20
Well the most recent one he was announced for (Rokslide), he's headlining, and I'm almost certain I read on here that he turned down IOW because he only wanted to headline. I would find the post, but search is as much use as a Stephen Hawking hologram.
