WORST BANDS YOU'VE EVER SEEN

For curiosity, and possibly a bit of debate, the worst bands you've ever seen!

Not in any particular order...

Kaiser Cheifs at NME Big Gig 2007

The Hoosiers at Grimsby Auditorium

30 Seconds to Mars at Leeds fest 2011

The Verve at V Fest, 2008?

And as much as I hate to say it, but purely because I was at the very back of Wembley stadium with no atmosphere what so ever... Oasis' final stadium tour in like 2009?

3) Future of the Left (The Bullingdon Oxford 09)

4) The Horrors (supporting Placebo O2 arena 09)

5) RHCP (Reading 07)

8 ) Choir of Young Believers (supporting Mew Leeds Met Uni 09)

9) Bjork (Bestival 11)

10) Flaming Lips (Brighton Centre 06)

There's been a lot of other mediocre support bands and shit festival performances, but these are the ones I remember that stood out as being particularly awful.

Edit: Also, I went to Live8. There were fucking loads of awful bands there. Most of them at least engaged the audience and their fans though, even if I hated them.

30 seconds to mars(10 metro radio arena Newcastle) maybe if he sung the songs instead of letting the audience do it!

The smashing pumpkins (nov 11 O2 academy Newcastle) too self indulgent for the price with only 2 or 3 classics!

Arctic monkeys (09 Leeds festival & metro radio arena) thought it may have been a one off a Leeds but just as bad second time round!

Babyshambles (year? carling academy Newcastle) No show through Pete being locked up.

Radiohead (09 Leeds) too much orientated for hardcore fans.

Blink at Reading in 2000. Terrible vocals, crap acoustics and tried relying on rubbish jokes. Biffy supporting the Foos at MK last year was a disappointment although that was down to high expectations and I will definitely give them another chance at Download and IOW this year. RHCP at Birmingham last year weren't great in comparison to when I saw them in 2004.

Coming on stage in an elevator through the floor, wearing a cape and some sort of linen that seemed to represent Jesus or him being godlike, then holding his arms out wide as no one sung his song back at him... Are all valid reasons why he should die.

Personally I'd say Stalin was worse than Hitler, Hitler killed people because he was anti-semitic and other reasons including wanting germany to occupy the majority of europe. Stalin killed more people and killed mainly people in groups which he believed he was a part of (e.g. the Bolshevik/Communist Party or Russia as a whole). At least leading Nazis were almost as untouchable as Hitler and the people who suffered persecution under Hitler (e.g. the jewish community) he did not believe himself to be a part of. That being said they're both fucking awful in their own ways with two supposedly opposite beliefs (communism and fascism) that are actually ridiculously similar in the cases of the totalitarian states created by Hitler and Stalin.

So Hitler's "I and people like me are superior to jews" complex isn't as bad as non-prejudiced killing?

Interesting argument. I think Stalin had a self-righteousness about his killing as well though. Do you feel Hitler was more principled (obv. you're not saying his principles were good ones, just that he stuck to them)?
