Honestly, there are times in my life, when I heard this particular tune play... and momentarily, everything made total sense.

Some Tunes are timeless. (Things do generally make sense as a rule, but a little reinforcement doesn't hurt. Eh?)

In the beginning there was Jack.....

Is it any good? I seriously have my doubts. Acid house was the total antithesis to classical music. I appreciate they are trying something different but it just feels wrong to me. I presume it is a pre planned set? It is just totally alien to the spontaneity of turning up to a club with a box of records and playing to the crowd.

I do understand what you mean, but I did like it yes. It was obviously a labour of love for Park and Pickering. It was a well thought out set.

The sound was just a bit too quiet. For the first half hour especially. It was a nice twist on it though, but once you have seen / heard it, the novelty wears off.

Xpansions - move your body, sounded really good though.

Its a classic under all circumstances.

I think I will give it a miss. Was tempted to do the Castlefield one just to see. I might change my mind after Glasto.

I also went last night.

Shutting the bars whist the performance is on was verging on criminality

Agree with you fuzzy, the first half hour nobody quite knew what to do, were we there to watch a performance or dance about??  Soon got into it tho and was dancing like a good 'un by the time ryder warbled his way through hallelujah

Also had a selfie with bez !!!!!

Who was that doing the compare/mc fuzzy?

I went to the Haçienda classical last night.

Excellent, but not quite loud enough. Peter Hook did blue monday, sean ryder and bez did hallelujah as well as Graeme Park and Pickering's selections.

Lucky People!!
