Haha Slough Centre, i've done a couple of gigs there. Where about are you from? Im in Uxbridge

Was living in Chertsey in 89 and read about the Centre in the local paper, I was determined to go and after my first one I never looked back, amazing times, felt like the world was going to change.

This is one of my fave ever tunes. I love Italian plinky plonk house. Not into the Synth stuff that came later really, yet I love the piano stuff.

I take it you are from down south Charm? I did not think there was much interest in Italian house down there. I thought you were all ardcore.

Ha, "Mighty Quinn Records".  I use to put stuff out as The Mighty Quinn a few years back.

It was a good label. I think SLD is the most prominent tune they released. There were a handful of fantastic Italian labels round that time.

Was you never into the northern Piano House stuff Stu? I loved all the mid/late 90's pumping piano stuff as well Pianoman, Crowdpleasers, Trotters etc)

It may have been a little cheesey for your tastes.

I'm not all that knowledgable, I must admit.  I spent more time listening in detail to some records and trying to make tunes than listening to a wide range.  Although everyone loves some old school plinky plonky squelchy action.  This was my attempt at a tune with a nod to the genre.

I like that mate. Reminds me of Nexus 21.

No we loved house down here too, you are right it did go all hardcore down here, fortunately I avoided most of it but did get dragged to Orange at the Rocket a few times which was a pretty great venue, never wore a white glove though.

You have never lived if you have not wore a white glove or been smeared all over with the inside of a glow stick.

Below is my fave ever night. It was more breakbeaty, jungle and rave than the piano stuff. As you can see I hae slight OCD when it comes to keeping hold of ticket stubs.

Seeing as though @Bamber generally seems to be the driving force behind this thread, would be interested to hear  whether she would consider the rave type stuff as house. I noticed she described the Manic tune she posted as not being house. There generally seemed to be less names for the different genres from what I remember and we used to consider it all house.

That only happened at a house party for me.  Not a House party, playing house music, just a party in a house.

Well, I say a party, there were a few of us round at our mate's house when one of us writhed on the floor smearing glowstick innards all over himself.

I say house, it was more of a flat. I say flat, it was more like a derelict squat.

They are the best nights mate.

I used to have a mate who got a thrill out of biting into glows tick and wiping in people's eyes. It is no wonder he has turned into a hermit and no one sees anything of him anymore.

Little 8 year old Sierra Kerr has no particular connection to House Music, but when I'm up this late, House Music is not my only distraction. I love skate boarding. I can do dat, but I'm not 8......
