To be fair, he didn't die of old age. Only reaching 62 is no innings at all really.

Cancer in the 60s isn't rare. Particularly if you've not been particularly careful with your lifestyle. I just don't think things like this are surprising.

No, it didn't surprise me either. What did surprise me was that he woke up from the coma he was in. I thought he was a gonner when I heard he'd gone into a coma ie that he'd never have a lucid moment again.

I guess your right about the cancer thing and people in their 60's etc. I was just thinking that only getting to 62 is a bit of a bum deal.
