Seeing as I only live 25 mins away we packed and fucked off after slash. The fact that one tent had blown away completely and the other had just broken obviously contributed. Combo of very soft ground and high winds and pegs just came right up when the wind got the tent.

Still. Back today and some of tomorro I think

It's been fucking brutal tbh, but yesterday was a bit better than Friday, and today looks quite promising. Was rather w*nkered last night, and woke up at 6:15 due to the bastard birds making a racket, at least it's better than the wind! Hoping for a great end to a soggy festival....

Massive respect to those of you who have done the whole weekend! The conditions were pretty terrible yesterday so I can't begin to imagine what Friday was like. Metallica were brilliant though, thankfully I sobered up in time to see them and remember it!

Just got home tonight, lived close enough to get bus and my feet were too ****ed up to stay any longer. Terrible weather but still worth it for the music, we were camped in a pretty woeful place for mud but v close to the village so didn't have a long walk at least.

Hope I never go to a festival like that again though.

Well that will make me think twice about turning up on a Weds again...or will it. We met a great bunch in black and all camped together. Linked three gazebos with gaffa tape and had a party in the rain with various neighbours (who were all excellent). Gazebos did get blown away mind you (as did some tents) but we managed a salvage job with the last of the gaffa tape on one and a half, which then got trashed by the wind again anyway. No matter because breakfast beer, vodka shots and a bit of grit saw us through. Load of thieving bastards robbed three of our tents and surrounding ones but that only called for more vodka in the morning!

Not a lot the organisers could have done about the mud because its raining on fields. Mind you they could have put metal roads through the village and thought more about direct routes from car parks to camping and from camping to the Arena rather than making us trudge everywhere in a circular route through more mud. Feet are f*cked because of that although thankfully trusty boots kept them dry..

Feel absolutely knackered but already thinking where to go next..have had an invite to a festival in Spain..perhaps the weather would be better there?
