I will be watching Slash and to against the grain I think Myles Kennedy is excellent, he sings the GnR songs better than Axle. Best thing is I get to watch the last 30 mins of The Prodigy. Really not fussed about anything on the Sunday other than Soundgarden.

No I appreciate that and it's all well and good when you're in your 20's acting like a rock star (because you are) but really, a middle aged man??

I saw them at MOR '88 and they absolutely blew me away with their rawness and passion.

See, I was thinking the same until seeing Axl and co last weekend in Brum and being completely blown away... Ahh the decisions! Slash is Slash after all, but Miles isn't Axl, and the non GnR or Velvet Revolver stuff I have heard from them hasn't impressed me that much...

I've seen Slash and GnR in recent times. Miles is the better singer by a country mile. He does GnR stuff just as well but Axl's voice is what we grew up to like and that cannot be replaced. He delivered big time in Glasgow last weekend. If you pinned me down and made me put things in order of preference 1. Original GnR 2. Slash and Miles 3. gnr with Axl and the 3 Slash replacements. There isn't much difference between all of them!

I nearly wore a Slash T to the gig but took it off as I thought it might cause trouble. Glad I did, apparently security are turning people away wearing Slash T's now!

All the recent footage I've seen of Axl has been shocking. If you can show me something decent I may be inclined to change my mind - plus the guy is a complete egotistical pillock with no respect to the people who pay his wages - THE FANS!

Good vid Gingo, brings back great memories. Their "show" is stands out from others and I think it is down to the lighting. Quite a few times I thought to myself how vibrant the colours were and how well it went with the music. And that was without "help". Axl's voice has deteriorated over the years but he still does have something that no one else does.
