Kind of marveling that, with all these big names bandied around - Rihanna, then Stevie Wonder, then Taylor Swift, now Neil Young - they appear to have taken Fred again's slot and held onto it in the merry-go-round.   Perhaps them being British has something to do with it. Hard-Fi at Leeds University Union last Friday were in very good nick, better than I must say I expected.   Paul Heaton on the Saturday at First Direct Arena was reliably excellent, as always, though I do wish that he had taken his short "hits" tour into the bigger venues.
