True, its probably unrealistic to do sole hosting consistently as there probably arent enough options. I think whether its sole or co hosting the priority should be that the stadiums are sustainable and if not it isnt a club picking up the bill.

The GB team are apparently not going to have any Scots or Irish players announced and Gareth Bale has pulled out injured.

It's gonna be intresting to what the defence looks like, a few months ago a back four of Bale, Walker, Smalling & Jones was looking likely and and now they are all out.

Lots and lots of interesting stuff going on at Tottenham it seems.

AVB is probably going to be announced in the next 48 hours.

Qatar Airlines have apparently struck a deal for all naming rides to Tottenham's new stadium, bringing in a huge amount of cash to the club.

Modric is definately leaving.

AVB will have a hefty transfer budget to bring in 4-5 top players.

These are just some rumours i've read elsewhere, theres a hell of a lot of speculation about Spurs at the moment, with some people still beliveing the new manager is guardiola!

Its a massive gamble for spurs that one, even a bigger gamble than rodgers for liverpool. Although I hate clubs that appointing failed managers time and time again. AVB should of had time to rebuild his career before taking a big job like spurs at the minute. Especially with no adebayor, modric and bale leaving in the next year or so.

We've shipped out Best to Blackburn for £2.5m rising to £3.5 supposedly.

Good deal all round I reckon. We get rid of our 4th-5th choice striker (when we're supposedly going to bring a young one in), for a reasonable fee, and Blackburn get a proven Championship scorer who has shown flashes of quality in the prem. He's tried to do a job for us but only really managed it against 5 or 6 teams over the years, so pleased to see him go, but glad he's been given a number 9 shirt somewhere, he could still have a decent career.

Not sure how good an example Joe Cole is. He was shipped off to France because he was crap. Proper crap. Always seemed overweight at Anfield.

yep, I can't see how he was worth keeping at the club. He was making Downing look world-class.

A year on, it'll be interesting to see if he's really improved, or if he's simply exposed the level of French league football.

Given how a number of top scorers from the French league have come to the UK and done poorly, I know which my money is on.

Is there a more over rated, over paid footballer out there than Wayne Rooney? Great in prem but time and time again the media say hes world class.

Never does it for England, when united play a class side he always goes missing and usually hauled of for being not so workd class.

Yes he's good scoring against the Norwich, villas of the world but its time we stopped calling him world class and the saviour of the world.
