I think cole is a good example, when he showed individualism when young he was called a big time Charlie. By the time he got to Liverpool it was too late, a player who would have benefited from playing abroad from an early age.

This was more my point. I'm not trying to defend his form at Liverpool, just point out that the sort of play and talent he had was treated with disdain, almost fear.

So AVB deffo in at Spurs then.

I think its a good signing for them, assuming the board press etc, give him a chance to build a side.

You'd assume losing Modric, Adebayour etc will give him a bit of grace results wise, if he's given fat wedge to spend though, I can see him getting a world of pressure once more pretty early.

The much more dangerous meningitis is the bacterial kind, not the viral one. Plus it encompasses a huge range of possible viruses and a vast range of prognoses (that on the whole are fairly positive). Probably worth waiting for some more news before everyone goes all "Muamba" on him.
