They were the best but RIo is nowhere near the player he once was. As for world class perfomances its maybe stretching it a little. Solid players can put in good perfomances against big sides in isolated matches but I dont think madrid would be knocking down the doors of old trafford if he was transfer listed.

Ever since Wigan scraped a draw against QPR I have had a feeling they were on the way down. It now looks between them and villa. I personally hope villa stay up as they have some potential to achieve more, while wigan are always likely to be scrapping for relegation. Hope the gap between the 2 stays within 3 points as I have just heard they are playing each other in the last game.

Amazing stat about wba, jones goal today is their first by and Englishman all season!

Im personally against the 10 point rule for a couple of reasons. Firstly I feel in general it shafts the wrong teams. It was bought in because Leicester city abused administration to get rid of debts and then were spending a lot of money on transfer fee and wages. Then the rule was bought in and wrexham were the first team to get the deduction after an owner purposely mismanaged the club with the view to selling off the land.

It also creates a silly situation where teams tactically decide when to go into administration depending on the point total at the time. I remember a few years ago wrexham played boston in the last game knowing which team lost would be relegated. Boston went into administration 5 minutes before the game finished while 3-1 down, if they had been wining they would have delayed it.

I don't think administration should go unpunished as I think its completely wrong if one week your not paying local tradesman, office staff and the taxman and the next week you are buying players that others in your league cant afford. I personally think the punishments should be in terms of transfer embargos and wage restictions instead.

I actually reckon that ups the chances of Liverpool keeping him. Big teams will be less enthusiastic considering how much of a twat he is.

If someone's desperate for a striker AND misses out on Falcao, Cavani and Lewandowski, they may take a punt, but I don't think many would be willing to pay the £30m+ fee 'Pool would want, and there's noone Liverpool could entice that's even close to being of the same quality.

Chelsea to miss out on 4th place again? Still to play Man U, Spurs and Everton.
