pink_triangle
FA says: "The charge follows an incident with Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic in Sunday's fixture at Anfield. "The incident was not seen by the match officials and has therefore been retrospectively reviewed. It is alleged that the conduct of Suarez constitutes violent conduct and it is The FA's contention that the standard punishment of three matches that would otherwise apply is clearly insufficient in these circumstances." Kyelo
To me it shows how wrong the FAs priorities where they think 3 games is sufficient for a reckless tackle that breaks someones leg but insufficient for another appaling act of thuggery by Suarez. I am thinking 5 games, which will mean 4 of the 5 games are pretty irrelevant anyway

pink_triangle
To me all depends on intent. If you set out to break a leg, throw the book at them. If you commit a reckless challenge that injures somebody I would agree with them.

kaosmark2
Gotze to move to Bayern for £31m I've got a vague feeling that Pep might be planning to use him in a Messi-esque false-9 role. Gomez has been dropping out of favour this season, and their midfield is fairly crammed as it is with Schweinsteiger, Gustavo, Javi Martinez, Kroos and that's before you get to the wingers. I'll be interested to see how many players Bayern sell and where they end up. I doubt any other German club would pay Gomez' wages, so he might have to move abroad. I wouldn't be surprised to see Robben come back over here, City maybe? With Lewandowski announcing he won't sign another contract at Dortmund it'll be interesting to see how much of their squad they can hold together. They need to keep at least 2 of their 3 CBs and probably Reus as well. They might be able to afford losing 2 or 3 players this window, but they need to replace them quickly. The Nal
Doesn't seem like any players want to leave that league! I was hoping for Gotze at Utd. Cracking player. Heres Tyson talking about Suarez last night. Edited April 23, 2013 by The Nal

Kyelo
I think its more the Germans have the same mentality as brits, Spanish and Italians and are happy with home comforts. Bayern using the tried and tested method of strengthening themselves and weakening opposition in one swoop. Until dortmund are willing/able to compete with top European sides on wages they will regular lose big players.
TheGayTent
Dortmund have spent big in the past and nearly went bust. They won't do so again until/if they are in a position to do so without sizable risk

pink_triangle
I think it would be dangerous to read too much into the result. Of course they will look to bring new players in this season, that's no different to all their big European rivals. However people shouldn't forget that last season man u, got thrashed by city in 1 game and outclassed in others. This season without huge changes they have won the league comfrtably. Sometimes teams like bayern play that way and score 2, yesterday things went bayerns way and scored 4. Not having the best player in the word fit was always going to hurt them. Im not sure bayerns champions league problems are all down to a new management regime and some players getting older. Listening to top Spanish football expert sid lowe their away form hasn't been great for a few years. There is still no doubt Barca need to improve. They need to look at defence, when everyone is fit they are quite solid, however their policy have having a small squad brought up the Barca way has hurt them when backup is needed.
