After a great day for wigan yesterday, the results are really going against them today. By my calculations they will need to beat arsenal mid week as things stand.

If Wigan had a better goal difference, I think they would have a chance of staying up by getting 4 points and overtaking sunderland. However I just cant see them beating arsenal who will be desperate to win the game.

Really dissapointed Scummers equalised away at Sunderland... would have kept it interesting down there. Sadly I think Wigan are gone, although give the last games of the season who knows... all rests on Tuesday mind.

I would personally not be too sad to see wigan go down, they have had a good run but it was inevitable it was going to end one day. I think overall they have been good for the premiership and a cup winners medal will be some consolation. I like Mcarthur and Mcmananan and have a sneaky feeling both could be at everton next season.

I personally think sunderland and villa have more to offer the league, admittedly in the formers case its more to do with their mad manager.

Funny hearing on the radio how David Beckhams PSG have won the French league, in terms of influence he has had on the title win, surely thats the equivalent of talking about Danny Welbecks Man Utd or Alex Songs Barcelona title winning teams.
