Point scoring after a result is pretty pathetic. It's not as if you predicted Sunderland would get a result prior to the game. Or anyone else on here (including me) for that matter.

I'd said that taking the opposite view of worm about Sunderland gives accuracy. So, yeah, I'd sort-of predicted that they wouldn't get torn to shreds, and so it proved contrary to worm's prediction. :)

And anyway, it's not like I give any credence to my own direct predictions. If I make predictions I generally follow them with a line about betting on the opposite.

I think you're taking it all much too seriously.

I think Southampton will finish bottom and be adrift from safety by mid March.

Stick it in your diary to quote me come May...

Really?

I think Adkins has proven himself as an excellent manager, and while the Prem is new to him and I'd had worries that it might all be a bit too much for him, I think yesterday showed that they're not going to be a pushover and that they can be dangerous.

I can't decide who might go down, but I'd say that Soton have at least as good a chance as any relegation candidate of staying up.

Southampton are a team I am struggling to read at present. Im not overly impressed with the squad but bidding for Gaston Ramires is either a sign of a club with ambition or one trying to fake ambition to keep the fans happy.

I am however very impressed by Adkins, his managerial record is probably the most impressive below the premiership and I think he is very impressive when he speaks. However it is possible that a great manager can get a team relegated if he doesnt have players of sufficent quality.
