There are such things as backdoor links, once you have the URL syntax for the registration validation page it's possible to input different reg numbers and adjust the arguments on the URL to process more sales.

Refreshing on multiple browsers etc. just splits the available bandwidth you have on your IP into smaller chunks, it really doesn't make much more of a difference than refreshing one browser. You might as well refresh yourself - but don't refresh an error page!

After that, once you've actually bought some tickets, its usually possible to "back" in your browser all the way back to the registration check and process more sales that way. With the pages cached on your PC you can basically process as many orders as you want.

very definitely: not necessarily.

I very much doubt See have been that amateur either.

You're not considering what use they might have made of sessions. As I've already said, there's the possibility of giving yourself 3 times the chance of success if using three different browsers rather than 3 windows of one browser (spurn that possible massive increase in your chances if you want to )

it's been possible to do that in the past (tho not actually necessary the last few years). It's also perfectly possible that that will be closed down this time around, as well as the link the page gave the last few years so you didn't have to do that.

Whats the best way? different browsers and keep refreshing?

Yes!!

Different browsers is definitely no disadvantage over one browser with different windows - and might* give a significant improvement in your chances.

(* it's a might because without knowing all the details of See's system, there's no way of knowing for sure. There's a decent likelihood of it giving an improvement tho)

..and again, that.

It's all very well saying that there *might* be a way to use technical knowledge to abuse the system, but when none of us here have access to it, when the system has been evolved over the years to close previous exploits, any claims are just claims really.

The best thing you can do is set your alarm, get up on time and start trying, the more active pages the better. I don't think that in a world where people have 10-100mbit connections we have to worry about people extinguishing their bandwidth with mutliple windows/browsers ;)

Different browsers use different engines so it is always worth a go, I have got Chrome, IE, Safari & Firefox, I have also got a little tool called refresher. It certainly cant do any harm to have different browsers, last time I had been trying for about 2 hours with IE & Chrome and the wife got in with FF in about 10 mins

Seriously excited now! Watched the 'After Hours' and 'Glastonbury Man' documentaries last night, took my excitement levels to a new high. Now I'm just hoping that I get a ticket, if I don't I will be o gutted. So so sad! Do we think demand will be as high as last year?

I'm not 100% that using multi browsers does actually give an advantage, but there's a logical case for why it might (without knowing all the details of See's system it's not possible to know).

But as it's no disadvantage over using multi windows, I defo think it's worth a try. If what I'm thinking about how their system works is right, then 3 different browsers will increase your chances by three times over using three windows - and that's quite a difference!
