Tickets on sale Sunday 7 Oct

Exactly

On ticket day there will be a limited number of sessions available per milisecond - what you want to do is refresh often enough that when a particular milisecond has 1999 of 2000 slots filled, you get the last one and continue with your sale.

judging by every sale since 2007, under the current system it is relatively simple. if you try hard enough you will get them. no one i know (and i know a lot who go or have gone to the festival over the last 5 years) has failed to get a ticket just because they were unlucky.

as for this year i think it will be about normal for demand. Increase in demand due to the year off, decrease in demand cos of the bad weather of 2012 and general decline in festivals as 'the cool thing to do' (See L&R not selling out, bestival taking until a week before to sell out) and the general economic climate.

I think these will even themselves out and it will take effort (and plenty contacts) to get tickets, but im not expecting any of my 10+ group to miss out on tickets

prepare yourself in all possible ways and you will more than likely succeed. even if you dont there's the resale next year, although i would be very uncomfortable relying on it as my final chance.

I've been going about 10 years now and no one in our 20-30 strong group who's wanted to go has gone without a ticket.

In a way it's a nice filter - everyone who ends up at Glastonbury is there because they really wanted to be, not because they just casually bought a ticket a few months into the sale (well maybe apart from the year Jay-Z played)

It's Darwinian selection at its finest - survival of the fittest. If you end up going, your will is strong and you will be amongst friends the whole site over.

Lol - the old Freya link - with the Wayahead server behind it. Has that brand name gone now completely after it became See? Voted 30% confident in the poll thread, however have as likely as a chance as anyone I hope, barring the session loophole reappearing this year . . .

Will be 40 at next Glasto and all my mates who I have been going with for years have given up going now next year, so will be completely on my tod this time.

We're (hopefully) buying as a group for some people who love in the uk, some who don't - any idea if that will be a problem given the rules on uk debit card/international credit cards? I assume as long as the ones trying in the uk pay with a debit card for all if they get through and those abroad try with a credit card if they do we'll be ok?

Just over 7 days now until ticket sale... I have a spare keyboard ready just in case I wear out the F5 button!

Really hoping that my luck holds as, while this will be my 9th Glastonbury if I get tickets, the other 4 people who will be coming with me have never been before. 2 of them will be trying as well, so hoping the chances are good! Can't wait to see the look on their faces when they've been walked up to the top of Kings Meadow at night and then turn and see the lights stretching out across the valley!

so how does everyone think the sale page will work? will the currently redirected www.glastonbury.seetickets.com only change to go direct to a booking site at 0900 next Sunday....or will it change before then? whatever it's not looking like links from last year updated to 'g2013' are likely to work....

??

I notice that http://glastonbury.seetickets.com currently redirects to the festival site, wonder if that may be used? Be surprised if it's not www.seetickets.com/g2013 as the last few years it's just been different, they wouldn't put it live this soon even with a holding page though .

Whatever it is, you can guarantee the server will probably crash at some point, probably even before onsale time wiht everyone refreshing in advance hoping they'll come out early!

So if two registered numbers have two different postcodes, you cannot buy a ticket for both in the same transaction? Or do you just send the tickets to one postcode? I've forgotten since the last T-day was two years ago, getting nervous now.

Just re-registered, think the old one (from 2010 registration) is still valid but I needed an update in photo anyway! Has everyone recieved their photo confirmation e-mail fairly quickly?
