Not really, there's people that go just for the Lock Up where as the dance stage doesn't bring that many people in due to Creamfields being on the same time and is more about adding variation to the line up.

Dance tent is probably more popular, although the lock-up is very relevant to R&L's identity.

Most of the dance acts I can think that would be suitable for R&L are already headlining the NME tent.

I'd like to see the arena being made more use of afte the headliners eg a massive silent disco with guest DJ's in NME tent. But that's musical.

I really don't think they should introduce IoW type electronic pay wristbands.

This, on the condition that the dance stage is run aftwards, all 3 days, from 12 til 6. Headliners at 1ish.

I think the people who go just for the lock-up are being outpriced nowadays.Considering tickets to see all of the bands at their own shows is much more than the price of the ticket, it's nowhere near as good value as it used to be.

Right? Even if I do say so myself, it's a brilliant idea. Who the fuck's wants to watch Zinc do a DJ set at midday? The sound won't be a problem (at Leeds at least) because that relentless tent is just as loud. Since they'd be the only thing on, maybe overcrowding would be an issue? I don't really see that it would be though, Pendulum did a DJ set at the Relentless thing a few years back and it wasn't too crowded (full of dicks though). Most people can't hack a whole day, for a dance headliner at 1 or 2, I don't think there'd be enough people still up and wanting to go for it to cause a problem.

Empty the pit after every performance, gives everyone a chance to be right near the front.

Plenty of time to do this between acts, would also cut down on the crowd chatting and not interested in the act on stage.

Simple turnstile type of entrance, when band finishes people exit through the side and when empty the security let the people go in through the turnstiles.

Worked like a dream at Werchter the turnstile system.

Sounds utterly ridiculous. Anyway, not everyone wants to be at the front. Most of the time I'd rather be hovering halfway as to leave if its rubbish/need a wee/want a cider making it redundant for many people.
