Its the standing up for 5 days straight that does me. Anything else I can handle, wet muddy, meh. I just love to have a sit on grass and have a chill. I'm a big lad with a crooked knee, so my body can barely handle the physical exertion of a 5 day mudfest nowadays, and I'm only 30 :(.

It's not an absolute, definite, proven theory like gravity or evolution. There is proof of climate change. There is evidence to suggest it's man-made. There's evidence to suggest it's part of the global cycle. The evidence to suggest it's man-made is a lot stronger, however it's incredibly disturbing that contradicting evidence gets shot down so easily and swiftly. Lots of evidence supporting it isn't gathered in a scientific manner, it's researched with an agenda to prove it as true, rather than to find out whether it is.

Global warming due to CO2 as a theoretical consideration is as proven as your examples as far as the fundamental basis goes - the radiative effects of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere is observationally measured (probably more so than evolution). What isn't proven is the magnitude of the effect on the earth system. For that we need to perform an experiment on an earth-like planet, increase the CO2 levels by double and monitor what happens.

Which is what we're doing of course - what could go wrong... B)
