jump
I find it strange that we never hear any forum members winning tickets through efests. Not saying it doesn't happen & that anyone has more of a right than others. Just find it strange. Edited August 10, 2012 by jump

gooner1990
wow! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Reading-Festival-2012-weekend-ticket-inc-camping-/330774482006?pt=UK_Tickets_Tickets_LE&hash=item4d03b20c56#ht_500wt_975
rug568
that's unexpected. A couple earlier in the day went for £170. Lucky little prick.
gooner1990
yeh i was watching on behalf of a friend who wanted to know what they were roughly going for.......most were hitting £170-£180 then that went for £122!
Bisque
I think since better 3G & the ebay app being more widely used its more difficult to get tickets (or anything) for cheaper. Usually I hunt around for tickets that end at ridiculous times in the morning when no one else is awake. I think £170 is about what the line up & the festival is worth + the hype Foo's getting there, so would be happy to pay that. I can't believe some of the prices people are asking for for early entry tickets though!!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/READING-FESTIVAL-Early-Bird-Early-Entry-Wednesday-Camping-Tickets-/230823012582?pt=UK_Tickets_Tickets_LE&hash=item35be1fa8e6#ht_1577wt_883 £60 & they've managed to sell 2! Last time I looked they were available again.

rug568
i'm selling a green car park ticket on ebay. hoping to get money back, but someone has bid £30 on it!
mrtourette
The cost will also depend on the quality of seller, if they don't inspire confidence then not many people will bid on their ticket and it will go for less. People will be happy to pay a bit extra to buy from a good seller and and that will push the cost of their tickets up.
Bisque
I had an ebay seller asking me to confirm I had tickets in hand for immediate dispatch, which I didn't as everyone knows they are only sent out a couple of weeks before the event (I made this clear in the listing). They went on to state "Surely you will then be informed that it is against ebay rules and regulations to sell tickets that you dont actually have in hand". I've never come across this before, are they right? I have over 1,000 positive feedbacks at 100% yeat they didn't trust that I would post the ticket. Not saying it doesn't happen & that anyone has more of a right than others. Just find it strange. Efestivals do the best for members but bound to be a lot of people just trying to get a freebie, just can't be helped Plenty of forum posters have won over the years. But more surprising is how few forum regulars actually bother to enter the competitions. You can't win if you don't enter.

chris_top_her
Anyone have any idea how well these have sold this year ? Im thinking £150 would be a good price but theres always the risk it sells out and the tout prices go up!

rivalschools.price
People seem to get carried away on ebay. for example, saturday tickets arn't sold out yet but are being bid on for more than £100 on ebay.under what circumstances would you pay more from someone you dont know on ebay rather than pay less from the official site? eFestivals
I guess most regular forum people have their fests and plans lined up before hand really true I guess. But they could be doing more fests by entering the competitions. For some of them I can't believe how few people enter (and which isn't necessarily related to how popular the fest is with selling tickets), so sometimes the chances of winning are actually very good. As I say, if you don't enter you defo won't win.
