Been following this for the past few days, turns out to be a very sad story

The events leading to it are still a bit of a mystery.

I have a feeling it is probably just a case of pissed bloke falls in canal, rather than anything more sinister. His friends will struggle to get over the fact they let him go off by himself (to look for his lost phone). And if whoever it is that had it up in scotland stole it from him rather than found it....well they are indirectly to blame.

Sounds similar to the Irish fan who died at the Euros in Poland. Went round a corner, pissed, for a piss into the river and fell in.
