@vfestival Alan

your best to try get accomodation in benicassim itself if you can, we stayed in marina dor last year (bout 10min drive from fest) and was bit of a nightmare wit taxi qs at d end of d nite, d extra u spend on taxis/shuttle buses etc would nearly cover benicassim accomodation.

ive booked with these for this year http://www..com/b2c/index.php?page=pp_productos.php&tipo=1&codf=16&md=1&idioma=2

this is worth a look too http://4ufestival.eu/epages/ec1258.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/ec1258/Categories/FIB

def worth d extra few bob imo to b closer to the site as u can come and go as u please and have few cheaper drinks in apt if theres bands on u dont like as drinkin all night at the fest can b pricey if u cant sneak it in, plus if your paying for taxis your not gonna wanna b goin back and forth 2r3 times a night

hope this helps, if u wanna know anything else let me know

Hey Guys! Me and a few mates from Australia have just bought some tickets and can't wait! Scoured this thread and still have a couple of quick Qs

We are pretty keen on camping. What are peoples general advice on this? I noticed on the official site to buy tickets there were options for 'Weekend ticket' for 155 euros and 'Villacamp' Ticket for 90 Euros, do I have to purchase both of these if I want to camp close to the festival from the 15th? Also, I'm a bit reluctant to leave my backpack in my tent with all my passport and valuables etc are there lockers available?? Sorry if some of the questions seem obvious!

Cheers in Advance!

Al

Hey everyone, planning a trip to Benicassim for the first time.

Coming from Guernsey so the easiest place to go to is Gatwick and then the cheapest is to Madrid, so we'll be doing that. After it finishes we're having a night or two in Madrid at a hostel and it stops us from rushing for flights back as we don't want to stop in the UK.

Does anyone have advice on getting to Benicassim from Madrid? And vice versa for the return trip...

Thanks in advance.

I think they need to announce more acts soon because BBK (as it currently stands) have the better line up and cheaper tickets. I know it's early days but surely with the festival being abroad people are more likely to book tickets early as more preparation is involved. I just think that if FIB are delaying announcements then they are losing punters as we speak.

Genuinely can't wait to go back - hoping for a few acts I've yet to see, anyone from Purity Ring, SBTRKT, Foals, or Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs would be sweet and not completely beyond the realms of reality.

*And I can't recommend EU Fest enough for airport transfers. Great value.

Chuffed for Benicassim this year! Always been desperate to go but this is my first time.

Booked flights from Newcastle to Barcelona, just me and 1 friend going and we're hoping to stay in Barcelona from Sunday-Wednesday or Thursday but I'm a tad worried about finding a decent camping spot getting there that late! We're thinking about getting VillaCamp tickets and also renting a tent...anyone know if these are worth the money? Any advice welcome and thanks in advance :)

Get yourself a cheap tent from Argos or something - very little hassle to put up. You can get a two man for £10 which would suit one person, you'll want enough room or you'll boil. Last time we had a six-manner for three of us which was roomy but still pretty warm. I'd advise avoiding black tents if you reckon you'll be uncomfortable.

Knew someone that stayed at VillaCamp at the same time, and from what I gather it's a lot less cramped than CampFIB. There are a lot more shaded areas thanks to the trees, proper blocks of built in showers / toilets / sinks w/mirrors (no portaloos), and protection on the ground so you won't need to cushion yourself as much as at CampFIB, which is hard and stoney.

Probably worth the extra few quid, all depends about your threshold for discomfort I suppose! I spent very little time sleeping in the campsite at CampFIB (4 or so hours a night - other times I was either sitting in the shade under the marquee in the middle of the campsite, or sitting in a fold-up chair beside my tent) - so the comfort didn't really make any odds in my instance and meant there was not much point in forking out 70-odd Euros for something extra!

Hope this is of some help!
