What happens on the Wednesday night?? Does everyone go into town and have a party or what? First timer so no idea what to expect!

Conor rival festivals tend to be all the ones in Spain and I'm sure they usually don't share acts... Saw a review today Thorny and they said everyone just headed off into town for warm up parties etc! Going on the Monday so hopefully there will be something, if not we will be getting it going on the beach haha!

Most of my friends have pulled out and the remaining ones are beginning to look doubtful but I already have a ticket so I'll be there no matter what. At this rate you'll have to look out for the lonely bastard who has no mates!

I think Klaxons and 30 Seconds to mars are fairly likely considering they are both playing Portugal the same weekend at the same festival La Roux is playing. Just putting two and two together, whether i'm making 4 or 5 we'll see when some more of the lineup is out!

By the way is going on the Wednesday a bad thing? Plus is getting sleep a massive problem?

No sleeping bag needed, sleeping is ok but you will only get 3-4hrs tops, crash at the beach, or near the beach under a tree, or just live of a few hours sleep and party!!!

I guess it's like that 'holiday feeling', on top of that 'festival feeling'.

You can just stroll around chatting, everyone is there for the same reasons, it's brilliant in my experience everybody was amazing from singalongs on the campsite to 25 man peddlo parties on the beach!!!

How bad will picking up tickets be on the Thursday? We're in Barcelona for a few days beforehand. Few of us want to see Barca/ some have been before and like it. Anyone know if there are places that the locals pick up tickets in Barca that we could get our wristbands.

Also, The Fratellis & Paulo Nutini, get them sorted beni.

they are in constant negotiations with bands and agents/managers.

They believe they are close to sealing a few contracts, they already have some signed on the dotted line, but releasing a disappointing batch would be detrimental to ticket sales so they will wait until they are happy

Latitude just released their announcement: "We can now confirm that the first set of acts confirmed to play Latitude 2013 are Beth Orton, Tim Key and Stealing Sheep"

atleast our announcement hopefully wont be as bad as that

But Bloc Party and Foals are headlining... Alt-J are playing, along with Everything everything, Maccabees, James Blake, Hot Chip, Daughter, DISCLOSURE (saw these mentioned, have no idea who they are), Villagers.

Foals could play, technically. They could play on the Friday, easily.

I've said it so many times, but the fact Bwnicassim is at night and that there are these things called planes, same day festivals is not a problem. Foals did it before. If beni paid up, they'd have them. Bloc party are potential though, along with The 1975 and Peace.

Ridiculously hard to peg them down, we didn't even bother. Once you've got enough shite in them they stay down, and there's absolutely no breeze whatsoever (although it would be welcome, it's fucking hot) to blow them away. But now that I've said that, they do make useful washing lines! There are trees and stuff to tie them to,
