I'll get slated for this .. but fuck it.

But what do people think the chances are of a surprise Bowie appearance at T ?

Just listened to the album and It sounds brilliant and would sound extraordinary live.

He's obviously in good condition, he IS going to pop up somewhere to do something, even if it will be just a random TV appearance or something.

I don't know, he owes T in the park an appearance, he already surprised everyone with a new album out of the blue in the first place and with it being the 20th year.

Wishful thinking I know ...

bit harsh to want to get me blocked and I'm not trying to wind people up? how is that a wind up? I was only asking, pondering the question, I know it's mental to even think about and I'm not talking about him being a surprise headliner or anything.

Just saying there's nothing stopping anyone popping on a stage 10-20 mins to rattle of a few tunes, whether its T, Glastonbury or anywhere else.

I don't want to get you blocked, I was suggesting that you're post was more of a "wind up" than anything I ever said. But really, if Bowie was going to appear at TITP, he would be billed as soon as he confirmed his appearance. Bowie would probably shift all of the tickets himself so if he was going to play then the organisers would capitalise on that. Or they could put up with poor ticket sales/potentially not sell out the festival just to have a surprise 20 mins of Bowie.

But the site has been totally overhauled - no more BowieNet and members only areas - the whole reality theme that was previously on the tour page has gone.

Davidbowie.com/members gets a "page not found" result.

I really believe that he will announce some future dates, maybe not festivals and maybe only a couple of one off shows

According to musicians involved with the albums he commented on some songs saying they would be amazing live. They've all said he won't tour "this album" but at no point have they said he'll never play live again.

A lot of people wrote him off in 2008 - but here we are 5 years later with a new album and at least 12 unfinished songs.

I don't think this is the end of Bowie's albums or the end of Bowie live - but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I've always said the donation of my right plum was only for the appearance of the beastie boys, I now add David Bowie to the list........ I do know he won't be playing as T would've followed the same route as last year and the only announcement would've been Aladdin Sane....... I thought this would be my last T adventure however if DB or the beasties were playing next year I reserve the right to party once more....
