Less pressure on the front crowd barrier as it splits the crowd, so less likely for something to go wrong and people at the front to be crushed.

And you think you know someone! You must be one of those indie landfill fans then because the NME at R/L is pretty weak but I won't be at it at all bar Imagine Dragons. They're the only band from T that I wanted to see that I haven't seen lots of times already. The main at R/L is immense. One man's meat is another man's poison etc

Of your list Deacon Blue and Proclaimers would be the best laugh/singalong. Snoop sucks baws, Kraftwerk should be ok but I fear might be boring. The others I've seen so many times they're in my fan club.

I would drive to Leeds to listen to just one SOAD song rather than the whole T line up. I may just have to do Belladrum now though and/or Loopallu just so I spend some of my cash north of the border. I'll feel guilty otherwise

Fair enough, has there been any situations where there's been problems at T? Never experienced anything bad myself.

Up to and including 2008, T still had the standard set up with no separation or "golden circle", just a standard barrier at the front and nothing else. Apparently there was significant pushing/crushing (no serious injuries etc) during Rage Against The Machine's set and this was why the "golden circle" was introduced.

The barrier (pit) was in place by RATM. I was in there and there wasn't any bother I could see in terms of crushing.
