Oh yeah i know that, just wondered if anyone had a hunch on when the next few would be released as I think it was around this time last year Feeder and Bombay along with a few others were announced

Hi just wondering if anyone can recommend best place to camp - first T in the Park, have splashed out (no pun intended) on one of these fancy wristbands for refresh showers and stuff so don't wanna be miles away. Also meeting up with some friends met at Rockness a couple of years ago we are arriving thu they are arriving fri what are the chances of saving camp space and would there be any probs if we pitched a tent for them?

We camp in pink or whatever colour is at the top of the hill, usually a prime spot as it is relatively central and of course most of the water runs downhill

camp about half way up the hill, tent door facing downhill.

how long a walk we talking from car parks to pink camp? Looks ideal for close toilets etc

From car parks to pink I would say its a good 2 mile walk, the walk from the car parks to the main gate is massive and the walk from the main gate to pink is no easy trek either especially loaded up with all your camping stuff, I may be overexaggerating it but it feels like that when carrying everything and its not called the walk of death for nothing

I've carried stuff from Reading car parks to the entrance and that was a nightmare. I will have a trolley to pull stuff on though, with large wheels for the mud. I don't plan on carrying great loads on my back. Might even end up bumping into a few of you.

I'll be arriving from Edinburgh end if that makes

a difference? And also, what's a decent time to plan to arrive at the car parks?

Is this where city link buses are helpful? or are they not worth the waiting hassle? I imagine my

group will leave not long after everything finishes on sunday, going to stop at a hotel on the last night, a friend needs to be back afternoon latest as has work tuesday

The gates dont open till 3 on the thursday, but the queues are huge from about 11, we usually get there about half 1/2 ish and manage to skip a good chunk of the queue by going through the barriers, anyone that has been before will know this tactic well i usually get the citylink bus up as the drop off is at the main gate and i have only had good experiences using them before

its a killer

we arrive for gate and once our tents are built we litterally sit about until about 10-ish.

last year some of my mates arrived late and i had to go back and do the trek all over again

I'm sure the citylink buses leave on the sunday night after the acts finish

And pretty much with the barrier at the main gate, its shaped in a sort of snaked formation to funnel everyone in a queue but there is minimal security around watching and it is commonplace for the gates to be unhinged for a short while (until security realise whats going on) and it is possible to cut through the barriers instead of snaking your way round the queue, happens all the time so it is possible to cut off a good hour or so of queuing

the bus to be fair goes near enough to the front gate of the festival site.

but even then the walk is still pretty bad,

if you can get the bus i would say do it, means you can still enjoy yourself on the sunday night aswell...

edit: also if you leave pretty early on the monday morning theres absolutely no queus for the bus or the journey home

We hire a bus every year and so get dropped off in the private coach area. It is a fucking killer walk. I'm nearly in tears right now even thinking about it.

I arrived about 5pm the last two Thursdays and didn't queue at all at the main entrance. Once inside it was a different matter last year though. Some fucking nugget thought it would be a great idea just to have one walkway open for all directions of traffic.It was actually dangerous with traders moving barrows of stuff and people getting knocked off the path where it falls away quite steeply on to rough ground. Stupid idea. And it was really hot and humid then! Remember that? Before the great flood?
