You youngsters need to man up a bit. A wee walk with your gear. About ten, fifteen minutes max. At the first T in the Park I had to walk all the way to Strathclyde Park from my house on the moon, carry enough beer on my back to sink a whale and it was snowing and I didn't have any shoes. Plus there were fifteen of us sleeping in a shoebox.

Ahh yes you had it easy, i had to walk over burning hot coals in my bare feets from my house on jupiter, while carrying the entire contents of a mansion and the weight of the earth in cider with a broken back and one arm in a sling, while it was dark and an apocalyptic meteor shower was raining down on us, we didn't even have shoebox we had to shelter under a damp roll of newspaper for all 85 of us, kids dont know they are born these days

You can take the citylink bus home on the sunday night. After seeing SHM finish we went back to our tent and weren't up for sleeping another night in a spider infested tent so we just packed up and went. They don't even care about bus times or anything as we had times to leave on the monday morning.

The last two years I have bought a 25 quid tent from tesco, had about 1800mm hydrostatic head and was duel layer, absolutely perfect and withstood everything the Scottish weather had to throw at it

If they worked the last two years they would survive just about anything....product testing at its best. The rain that fell the past two years was biblical.......

Exactly why ill be buying one again this year, both tested for short term monsoon in 2011 and long term downpour last year, cant see it being any worse than those 2, hope iv not just jinxed it for everyone

if your driving then i cant see why it would be a bad idea ...

it might back onto the festival site but if its were i think its at the back of the campsite so you'd still have to drive there and queue.

thanks to all who replied regarding camping spot, I like going with an idea of where I'm heading and pink is sounding good will have a look at map when they publish it cheers - might bump into one or two of you for a tentside drink - (prob literally - lol!)
