Tips for a TITP first timer please!

Bought tickets for TITP today, and now wondering what to do about getting to and from the event. I'm an old git and taking my daughter (16) for her first big festival experience. My last time at a festival was Reading '88!!

As I'm too old and grown-up for camping I've got a hotel booked for us in Perth. My plan, which is subject to change, is to drive to the site each day, and then head back for the hotel at the end of the night. I know the traffic will be mad, but that's the way it's got to be.

Is this a stupid plan? Will getting into/away from the site be a right bugger?

Alternatively I could do the bus thing. Is this a similarly dense idea? I know the buses get you there nice and efficiently, but do they pick up at the end of the night for those not camping on site?

If I'm totally put these plans than the last resort is to stump up the dosh and posh it out in the Residence luxury camping.

Think getting the car out each night is biggest problem Seadog. If you've booked the hotel already and intend staying, I think the shuttle bus each day and back from Perth is a better option. Environment and all that jazz, but also means you can have a pint of overpriced T if you don't drive

Never really got Bloc Party. Went to see them a few times and thought they were okay but nothing more than that. Some seem to think they're a pretty special band tho and I wouldn't be overly fussed if they played or not. Never understood the very high up billing they get at Reading either.
