There is still an NME headliner tba I reckon, probably a more guitar based act. Guetta will play below her imo.

Don't want to wade into the headliner argument but from the three this year Rihanna is the biggest, and deserves the spot whether we like her or not... just think, I'm sure if the net was more widespread in the 90s we'd all have arguments about Texas and M People heading. T has always acted as a 'rights of passage' for your school leavers and the likes off, or ha done in the last 10 or so years imo (probably as most festivals did during the 'boom' period)

YYY's will be high NME again I'd say, along with Foals

Would they suit being opposite Stereophonics? Be a great way for me to get out of seeing them.

Just to also add a band overall update on days:

Mumford & Sons playing Friday

Beady Eye playing Friday.

Everything Everything playing Friday

Villagers playing Friday

Tribes playing Friday

Chase & Status playing Friday

Pheonix playing FridayHaim playing Friday

The Strypes playing Friday

Kraftwerk playing Friday

Rihanna playing Saturday

The Script playing Saturday (I imagine)

Modest Mouse playing Saturday

The Lumineers playing Saturday

Dizzee Rascal playing Saturday

Alt-J playing Saturday

Peace playing Saturday

Daughter playing Saturday

The Killers playing Sunday

Chvrches playing Sunday

YYY's playing Sunday

Stereophonics playing Sunday

Foals playing Sunday

Frank Turner playing Sunday

Modestep playing Sunday

Bastille playing Sunday

that works out without Of Monsters and Men, Snoop Dogg, Frightened Rabbit, The View, Twin Atlantic, Emeli Sande, Dizzee Rascal, Jake Bugg and Editors, 16 acts of those that I'd see. Clashes I'd imagine will be inevitable.

I think the radio 1 headliners will be Guetta, and 2 more unannouced ones, I think chase and status, the script and phonics will be subbing the headliners on main with kraftwerk, calvin harris and possibly emeli sande headlining king tuts, unless there is another one yet to be announced for that aswell

Just to clear things up.....Guetta and Harris have been confirmed as radio 1 stage headliners, the days are unknown but it looks like Guerta - Saturday and Harris- Friday. The other may be a part of the current lineup but is likely unannounced and a dance type act. The subs are undoubtably chase and staus, the script and stereophonics. As for tuts headliners we only know kraftwerk( Friday) but the other two are likely a part of the current lineup ( foals, beady eye, frank ocean perhaps). The courteneers are playing on the radio 1 stage at some point as is Sande playing main.

I know exactly what you are saying, that Sunday was excellent. Blondie was poor and the weather was brutal.the rest of the was awesome, even MCR were good. I bought early bird again and the stone roses were announced and everything seemed great..... The rest of the announcements were horrific. I had a good time though last year, maybe my expectations were so low I would've enjoyed watching a sandra bullock film, who knows. There were however some great, and surprising sets last year. Made even better by taking the piss out of nikki minaj fans at the NME.

I think this year has a better line up low to middle order, although it is not all about the music to me. I go with my son so it is a great weekend just us, I do know that I am no longer the audience Ellis wants he wants the school leavers who go this year as a "right of passage" never to return. Different people next year. It is sad 95 was my first year, my son still laughs that I saw kylie.......

T should've been a proper festival, I knew it was over last year when he tweeted he had not even bothered to speak to Springsteen as he was a T performer....

My son will probably go with his friends next year, I'll never forget standing in a field with my ten year old listening to rage against the machine, fucking perfection....
