To be honest i look at the thought of Mumford and Sons headlining and i get the image of all the debate of whether florence would headline last year and tbh i see biffy as more likely as the friday night headliner with mumford and sons subbing or headlining the NME stage

Thats a good thing isnt it? New headliners, better than the old predictable headliners. Its perhaps why festivals are struggling ticket wise as the headliners are the same headlibers for the last 10 years. Muse, coldplay, foo fighters and even further back the likes of blur whos best days were 15 years ago.

So, do you reckon Mumford and Sons are going to be headlining festivals of this size next year? I.e, T and Reading/v?

I think the possibility is very strong.

The album has sold fantastically well and they've avoided tarting themselves around every UK festival this year (They only did Rockness, I think), so people aren't bored with them or particularly see them as a repeat.

In a world of festivals where there's very few 'fresh' acts to headline, they're one of the fresh acts.
