Stuart1000
Travis, Hurts, Johnny Marr, Steve Mason, James Skelly, Milo Greene, Willy Mason, Foy Vance, Jack Savoretti and DIIV announced. Pretty impressive. If Hurts are playing Friday with Kraftwerk, I could be tempted into a day ticket. Saw Johnny Marr at ABC last month too and he was ace. craig94
That's surprising and annoying it appears the NME headliner for Sunday is David Guetta, which means that either Beady Eye or Snoop Dogg is the NME headliner for Saturday
craig94
But I think this will be one of the last announcement's tbh besides more slam tent acts and T Break
WHO ARE YOU?
Personally quite happy with day splits, only concern would be jake bugg and chase and status clashing.

de_bear
Going Friday for Kraftwerk. Throw in Phoenix, Monsters & Men, Everything Everything, & Steve Mason and that’s a decent wee night out.
de_bear
What time do things normally kick off on a Friday? I know normally fewer bands play on each stage so guessing its later afternoon.

tori1607
^Have the view not headlined king tuts before? I reckon they'll be on main early ish... If Frank Turner and The Killers clash I will not be happy. I'd say he will be on NME around late afternoon/early evening Edited April 26, 2013 by tori1607

tori1607
Yeah, The View have headlined King Tuts before but their star has somewhat waned since then. They opened the Main Stage on the Saturday last year to a relatively small crowd (albeit they were appearing under a different name) so I thought mid-KTs would suit them alright. And they played a similar sized tent to King Tuts at Rockness mid-afternoon and didn't fill it. Frank Turner had a similar slot last year to the one you suggested (about 4/5pm on the Sunday on NME) and pulled one of the smallest crowds I've ever seen at T. I'd put money on him being in Transmissions this year.
FOALS287
With one nme headliner left (on saturday) it seems? I'd say it will most likely be a band (hopefully): Realistically/hopefully: Vampire Weekend? Bloc Party? Would love it if they booked something like The Black Keys... doubt it would happen though

Shootenanny!
Expected Travis obviously but Johnny Marr and Willy Mason are a big bonus too! Never seen Travis, should be really good for some big singalongs. I've seen Johnny Marr with The Cribs but will be cool to see him doing his own thing. Not heard much of his solo material but he's a fantastic guitarist. Saw Willy Mason at King Tuts last year and he was excellent. I waited years to see him so glad to get another chance again this year.
