The time that Texas headlined the main stage I left early. You can spot the retrofest acts like Deacon Blue. Travis, and Texas booked purely for their Tartan Shortbread appeal. None of these bands have been released anything remotely successful in a long long time.

Those type of bookings remind me of Edinburgh, where I avoid the high street like the plague for its tartan tat and tourists.

Where the fuck are the rock acts on the bill, and why is shite like this getting booked instead of the likes of Queens of the Stone Age?

I think across 3 days there is a place ( early evening in the sunshine ! ) for deacon blue, travis, texas and the like. Would agree they shouldn`t be any higher up the bill as best days long gone. For me, there is plenty more shite right across the card that should be dumped well before the 3 you mention.

Anywayz, saw King Charles last week in King Tuts. Brilliant live and would love to see him being added. Hope your right about Queens of the Stone Age.

One of my highlights at Kendal Calling last year. Had never heard of him before then. As you say, a great album and thought the new tunes at Tuts sounded decent. Also see he is opening for the Stones at Hyde Park. Talented bloke - great hair.

I thought they might have put them in with the program - fair enough that would cost more, to have one for each program but it would ensure everyone could get one. Also, it would ensure everyone who wanted to see them bought a program. Either that or put them in with the tickets like they do the plastic wallet - then it's everyone's responsibility to take them

Handed to you when they attach your campsite wristband, easy enough? Then have the Friday day ticket people handed them on arrival after ticket check or something. Obviously people might lose them between then and Kraftwerk's performance but that's up to them.

But then they have to hand out 80,000 odd pairs of 3D glasses for a show only about 8,000 of them will actually get to see. Seems like a real waste to me (and we all know what Ellis is like with the money).

Wouldn't surprise me if they charge folk for them at the merch stand.
