No one is saying QOTSA are a main stage headliner. They would make a bloody good NME headliner though, especially up against Rihanna on the Saturday.

Sadly don't think there will be another announcement with any big acts.

Their ticket sales are clearly doing bad so if they had anything else that would shift tickets (NME/Tuts headliners) it would be out by now.

You clearly don't read the posts. I've never seen QOTSA touted as a Main Stage headliner. It would add a lot as there's a proper band closing one of the stages that hasn't played T in years and is still a big draw. It shows your lack of knowledge about them when you mention the Dave Grohl thing when they're a great band without him. "IVE HEARD NO ONE KNOWS ITS OK SONG BUT THEY NO HEDLINE MAIN STAGE". Idiot.

I'd agree with that. Was disappointed with T but it's one of the strongest in the UK imo. Rock Ness is very disappointing, Reading/Leeds have a couple of decent headliners but not a lot else lower down. Glastonbury has a lot of shite in amongst a few decent acts. Without The Rolling Stones it would be shite compared to most years.

It's the fact that every time the lineup is named as shit, once again, it's always QOTSA that can suddenly make it this awesome major festival that it isn't. In terms of T, the main stage headliner was basically over doing the topic, but they've been mentioned time and time again to headline other uk festivals so they may as well of been lol.

Glastonbury and Download are miles ahead of T. Reading is better, and the likes of V and IoW are much the same as T. Rock Ness had a chance to book the type of act that T doesn't seem to want - weren't they supposed to have QOTSA booked only for it to fall through?

There isn't really room in Scotland's (very) short summer for two similar big festivals and Rock Ness should have considered going down the route that Connect was on.

Hope they stick to their guns instead of being washed out like T is just now. Bella is the only Scottish fest with anything like the right balance this year. Download and Leeds make me want to have a sex wee. Message ends

You're right though, there is only so many ways of saying it's shite now compared to 2011 and previous and I've probably used most of them. Please let us know how you get on after your weekend. The only thing i disagree with this chat is r/l being better than titp, sure the top 6 is miles ahead of T but there is very little elsewhere whereas T has a lot of novelty/nostalgic acts that make it look a lot better on paper they r both quite even though especially since most of the acts are at both anyway

They headlined a stage at Glastonbury a couple of years ago and are an Arena sized band. They are one of the best live bands out there just now, and tickets for their last tour were like gold dust. I saw them in Glasgow do their entire self titled album and rarities.

Most of their fans generally put their album "Rated R" higher than the Dave Grohl collaboration Songs For The Deaf.

Only three good songs - if you think that, you deserve to listen to manufactured pop, which you will find in droves at T this year.

If you think there are only 3 good songs from the following list, I despair:
